How waterproof are your TV's?

All our products are manufactured and tested to ensure complete protection from water and weather if you are using the waterproof tv outdoors. What makes Techvision products stand out is that the units are sealed in the manufacturing process, not during installation.

Are the units suitable for outdoor use?

All our televisions have a waterproof rating of IP65/7 ensuring they perform not just indoors, but will also operate in the harshest of climates.

What do the IP Ratings numbers stand for?

We understand that not everybody knows all the technical jargon when it comes to waterproof television so here is the manufacturers IP Definitions Guide to help you. IP Waterproof Definitions Guide .

We are not experts when it comes to DIY, can I mount the TV's without making holes in our wall?

Both the 7" and 17" Techvision Infiniti Waterproof TVs have VESA fittings on the rear of the unit. This means that they do not have to recessed into a wall, they can simply be mounted using a standard Vesa bracket.

On the flip side to the previous question can the TV's be recessed rather than mounted to a bracket?

As all units are completely sealed during the production and manufacturing process they can be easily recessed by following 5 easy steps...

Step 1. Cut out a recess and drill pilot holes for fixing screws

Step 2. Plug holes and feed wires to recess

Step 3. Connect up the leads from the back of the unit

Step 4. Apply a thin bead of sealant to the back of the unit and screw the unit into place

Step 5. Fix the decorative finishing straps [screw hole covers into position]
